Walk-Down Engineer (Mechanical-Piping)

The Walk-Down Engineer is responsible for conducting system and discipline walk-downs to verify construction and installation works are complete and compliant with design, quality, and safety requirements.

The role ensures readiness for commissioning and supports punch list generation, closure, and turnover processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and perform system walk-downs in collaboration with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Client teams.

- Verify installed systems, components, and equipment against P&IDs, isometrics, layout drawings, and other approved IFC documentation.

- Identify, categorize, and record punch items in accordance with project standards and using designated software

- Follow up and support the resolution and closure of punch items to ensure system readiness for pre-commissioning and commissioning.

- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements during walk-downs.

- Interface with discipline engineers and subcontractors to clarify design issues and field modifications identified during walk-downs.

- Prepare and submit walk-down reports, status updates, and progress tracking related to system handover.

- Participate in system turnover reviews and contribute to Mechanical Completion (MC) dossier compilation.

- Assist in the preparation and verification of system boundary drawings and turnover packages.

Main responsibilities:

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Piping).

Required Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, commissioning, or QA/QC roles within Oil & Gas, Power, or industrial projects.

- Strong knowledge of P&IDs, isometric drawings, system boundary definition, and turnover documentation.

- Familiarity with mechanical completion and punch list management systems.

- Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a field-based environment.

- Effective communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.

- Proficient in MS Office; experience with Mechanical Completion Software.

- Fluent in English; knowledge of Russian (Kazakh is an advantage).

- Work location - Aktau

Work pattern - 5/2, Later, they will be transferred to ZanaOzen on a rotational basis
