Senior Geoscientist

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically skilled Senior Geoscientist to join our Aktau-based Subsurface Asset Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to development drilling and field evaluation projects in Western Kazakhstan, working in a multidisciplinary team focused on operational excellence and data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide geological support to wellsite operations (log correlation, casing seat, coring, TD calls).

• Prepare detailed geological prognoses and geotechnical inputs for drilling plans.

• Participate in completion and perforation planning.

• Lead structural and stratigraphic interpretation using Kingdom software.

• Generate detailed 3D field-scale maps and subsurface models.

• Perform post-drill evaluations and updаtеgeologic interpretations.

• Support well prioritization based on integrated seismic, log, and petrophysical data.

• Conduct resource estimation and geological risk analysis.

• Load and QC seismic and well data (SEGY, LAS, deviation surveys, tops).

• Ensure accuracy across all interpretation workflows.

• Lead peer reviews, prepare well proposals, and support operational documents.

• Generate maps, summaries, and inputs for reports and presentations.

• MSc or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or Earth Sciences.

• 10–12+ years of upstream geoscience experience (development/operations focus).

• Expert user of Kingdom for seismic interpretation and structural mapping.

• Strong log interpretation and field-scale mapping skills.

• Proven real-time drilling support experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience in both sandstone and carbonate reservoirs.

• Familiarity with AVO, completion planning, PRMS/GKZ classification.

• Previous work with regional institutes or regulatory bodies in CIS.

• Team-oriented with mentoring and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
