Main requirements

Education: secondary or higher technical education.

Experience: at least 3 years of experience in such or similar role.

Technical area - must know:

* regulatory, methodical and other documents for organizing equipment maintenance;

* profile, specialization and features of the enterprise organizational-technological arrangement, perspectives for its future development;

* fundamentals of production technology;

* structure of maintenance department within the enterprise;

* system of scheduled preventive maintenance and rational use of process equipment;

* production capabilities, technical data constructional features, equipment purpose and operation modes, regulations for its proper use;

* methods for equipment installation and maintenance, organization and technology of repairing works;

* procedure for making defect lists, technical passports, albums of spare part drawings, equipment operation manuals, and other technical documentation;

* regulations for equipment acceptance and hand over after being repaired;

* requirements for good working practice during equipment operation, maintenance and modernization and also repair outfit;

* acknowledgement with project and construction documentation, be able to read construction drawings;

* Internal Labour Rules;

* norms and regulation of labor safety, work safety, workplace sanitation and fire protection;

* Job Safety Analysis Work Instruction;

* Quality Management System.

Main responsibilities

Mechanical Engineer must:
* organize development of plans (schedules) for equipment inspections, test and preventive maintenance in accordance with Integrated system of scheduled preventive maintenance, approve those plans and control their following up, ensuring availability o production design;
* take part in making itemized lists for equipment capital overhaul

* take part in the process of recording equipment availability and movement, drawing up and preparing technical and reporting documentation;

* issue orders for procuring materials and spare parts required for operation of instruments and equipment;

* provide timely and high quality equipment repair and upgrading, organize activity for improving equipment reliability and long use life, technical supervision over the current state, maintenance of buildings and structures, rational use of materials for performing maintenance works;

* take part in preparing proposals for equipment upgrading, reconstruction, enterprise retrofitting and upgrading, introducing of advanced equipment for complex mechanization and automation of technological processes, environment protection and take part in developing plans for improving production effectiveness:

* take part in inventory stocktaking of fixed capital assets, revealing obsolete equipment, facilities requiring capital overhaul;

* take part in preparing proposals for accounting and planning work places, equipment retrofit, technical upgrading of enterprise depot maintenance shop, introducing of advanced equipment for complex mechanization and automation of technological processes:
* study operating conditions of equipment, individual assemblies and

* develop and carry out activities for preventing unscheduled equipment shutdowns, prolongation of service life of assemblies and individual parts, time between overhauls, improving integrity of the equipment, its reliability in operation;

* take part in investigation of reasons for equipment increased wear, downtime, accidents, development of measures for emergency liquidation and prevention;

* develop and introduce activities for replacement of ineffective equipment by highly effective equipment, reducing the number of unscheduled maintenance and equipment downtime, cutting costs for equipment maintenance and repairing on the basis of introduction of new advanced techniques for repairing and reclamation of parts, assemblies and mechanisms;

* control quality of works and equipment installation, rational use of materials and funds for capital overhaul, correctness of equipment storage in warehouses;

* take measures for revealing unused equipment and its realization, improving operation of the existing equipment, organizing maintenance works, based on substitution of machinery for handwork and introducing advanced technologies, increasing effectiveness of work management of maintenance department personnel;

* fulfil other duties within qualification and function may be assigned as needed
