Responsibilities:

• Plan and design drilling operations for oil and gas wells
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of drilling equipment and tools
• Work closely with geologists to determine the best location for a well
• Develop drilling plans and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Ensure that drilling operations comply with environmental regulations and policies
• Monitor drilling operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance
• Identify potential hazards and address them to prevent accidents and injuries
• Prepare reports and documentation related to drilling operations
• Manage and supervise drilling crews and contractors

Required skills:

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, well engineering, geology
• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil or gas drilling operations
• Ability to do engineering calculations (pressures, weights etc.)
• Ability to speak and understand English language
• Strong understanding of drilling equipment and tools
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to details
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work in remote or harsh environments
• Ability to travel to various work sites as needed
