Summary:

The Chief of Staff is a critical, highly visible role reporting directly to the CEO. This position acts as a strategic advisor, project manager, and key liaison officer, ensuring the CEO's priorities are effectively executed across the organization. This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have international experience, strong language skills, and the ability to work independently as a project leader. This role is crucial for a growing aerospace company of approximately 50 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support to the CEO:
    • Anticipate the CEO's needs and proactively address potential issues.
    • Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the CEO on a wide range of strategic and operational matters.
    • Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports and presentations for the CEO.
    • Manage the flow of information to and from the CEO, ensuring efficient communication and prioritization.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage special projects as assigned by the CEO, from conception to completion.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress against key milestones.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Communication and Liaison:
    • Act as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, including senior management and key partners.
    • Prepare and manage internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across different departments within the company.
    • Manage the CEO's schedule
  • International Relations and Translation/Interpretation:
    • Provide high-quality translation and interpretation services (written and oral) as needed, utilizing formal translation/interpretation qualifications.
    • Leverage international experience (professional or academic) to support the company's global initiatives.
    • Facilitate communication and negotiations with international partners and stakeholders.
    • Maintain awareness of international political, economic, and regulatory developments relevant to the aerospace industry in the country.
  • Meeting Management and Follow-Up:
    • Prepare agendas, materials, and presentations for meetings involving the CEO.
    • Attend meetings with the CEO, take minutes, and track action items.
    • Ensure timely follow-up on decisions and commitments made in meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred but not mandatory
  • Proven experience with international exposure
  • Perfect fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory Minimum TOIEC 785
  • Formal diploma or certification in translation/interpretation is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable international exposure through professional experience or studies overseas is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace and project management software.
  • Knowledge of the industry in general is a plus.
